    Description: Report that summarizes the activities of the Cultural and Ethnic Communities Leadership Council and major problems and issues confronting racial and ethnic group; makes recommendations to address issues; lists specific objectives the council seeks to attain during the next biennium; makes recommendations to strengthen equity, diversity, and inclusion within the department; identifies racial and ethnic groups' difficulty in accessing human services and makes recommendations to address those issues; and includes any updated Minn. Dept. of Human Services equity policy, implementation plans, equity initiatives, and the council's progress.

    Note: The Cultural and Ethnic Communities Leadership Council has had expirations dates set in law but as of February 2024 it has no expiration date. The original sunset in 2020 was extended to 2022 by 2020 Minn. Laws 1st Spl. Sess. Chap. 2 Art. 1 Sec. 14; and extended again from 2022 to June 30, 2025 by 2021 Minn. Laws 1st Spl. Sess. Chap. 7 Art. 14 Sec. 7. That expiration date was then repealed by 2023 Minn. Laws Chap. 50 Art. 1 Sec. 38. This mandate was amended by 2021 Minn. Law 1st Spl. Sess. Chap. 7 Art. 14 Sec. 7 Subd. 8, which changed the report from annual to biennial, and added to and subtracted from the required contents of the report.
