1883 - Governor Lucius Hubbard
|Our library records prior to 1939 are incomplete; there may be vetoes that we are not aware of.|
||Full or Line (# of lines)
||An act to revive and continue an act entitled an act to appropriate the interest of the State in certain lands to aid in the construction of the Princeton and Anoka railroad company and to legalize the organization of said company.
||A bill to change the rate of interest upon the sale of public lands from seven (7) to five (5) per cent., being an amendment to section seven (7) of chapter thirty-eight (38) of general statutes of thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight (1878).
Unlike counting full vetoes, the counting of line item vetoes is
inherently arbitrary. Library staff used these guidelines. If a lump-sum appropriation was broken down into several component items and
the entire lump sum was vetoed, it was counted as one item.
Appropriations divided into separate amounts for two fiscal years
were also counted as one item.
