Dear Mr. Speaker:

This letter supersedes the letter I sent earlier today regarding allowing the tax
bill to become law without my signature. On the advice of my General Counsel, I am
signing Chapter 1, House File 1. By signing the bill I am fulfilling the requirements to
protect the funding for the Department of Revenue.
