Spring cleaning for Minnesota roadways is underway again this year with the help of offender work crews and Adopt-a-Highway volunteers. Governor Tim Pawlenty and Lt. Governor Carol Molnau today announced the third annual "Operation Clean-Up" to pick up litter along the state's highways from now through September. |

Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced his appointments to the newly formed Veterans Long Term Care Advisory Commission. Governor Pawlenty created the Commission via an executive order signed on February 28 in response to ongoing patient problems at the Minneapolis Veterans Home. The Commission is charged with identifying the best approach for the future operation, management, administration and governance of the Veterans Homes. |

Governor Tim Pawlenty is asking the Small Business Administration (SBA) to make financial assistance available for residents of Browns Valley. The Small Business Administration Disaster Declaration request was made today by the Governor in response to damage caused by flooding of the Little Minnesota River earlier this month. More than 140 structures including homes, mobile homes and businesses have been affected by the flood waters. |
