Saint Paul – The following is a statement from Governor Tim Pawlenty regarding Ford’s announcement that the Highland Park Assembly Plant will be kept open until 2011

“We’re pleased that Ford has recognized that their St. Paul plant and its employees are exceptional. Over the past few years we have encouraged Ford to keep this plant operating and my Administration will use this opportunity to continue discussing additional long-term options with Ford.”
