Saint Paul – First Lady Mary Pawlenty announced today that she is joining Children’s HeartLink as their Director of Medical Diplomacy. Children’s HeartLink is an international medical nonprofit based in the Twin Cities that builds programs to prevent, treat and cure heart disease among needy children in developing countries. The First Lady will begin her role with Children’s HeartLink on January 5, 2009.

“Having had an opportunity to learn about the incredible work of Children’s HeartLink firsthand, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of this organization,” First Lady Mary Pawlenty said. “Children’s HeartLink is truly an inspiring nonprofit that saves the lives of children around the world. I’m looking forward to helping them with their mission.”
